The Academy Is..Secrets

on october 2nd of this year i got to see you guys for the first time.

and it was amazing.

alot of things pissed me off that night though.

like the fact that i didnt get there in time to get a poster so i could be apart of the meet and greet.
and then i stood like 7 feet away from william and no one was talking to him and i wanted to so bad but i couldnt since i didnt have a poster.
if there was enough time for him to stare off in space that means there was enough time for another person to meet him. so not fair.

and how i got wrapped up in a convo with mr.nathan thomas flynn of sing it loud so i ended up in the back of the crowd.

and how after the show all the members of TAI rushed off to different places saying that they’d be back at certain times. so i stood beside their tour bus in the cold minnesota weather for 20 minutes while it drizzled.

but in the end it was worth it.

after the m and g one of the members of TAI said hi and squeezed my shoulder and walked away. i cant even remember who it was. it went so fast.

and the back of the crowd showed the front who was awesome-er. because we were way more into TAI and actually appreciated that we got to have this oppurtunity to see them live.

and after the show i got to meet william beckett, one of my heros, and got a picture, hug, and autograph from him.

plus an autograph from sisky.

yeah, a lot of things didnt go my way that night.

but i actually wouldnt change it for the world.

it was amazing.

ps. i totally respect william’s decision to keep his family a secret for a bit. reading that ap article only reminded me how much i look up to him.

cant wait for the day i meet him again and hopefully this time he wont be in a rush to see AFI.

The Academy Is… at some point was the reason why I was alive. At some point in time was the greatest thing to happen to me, now, I know ill probably here it from all the REAL FANS after I finish this post because you’ll all say im a whiney little bitch, and im fine with that. Im happy that William has a family but why would he keep it from us for so long, when all we could possibly do was be happy for him? I mean, he’s not even famous, no one is going to creep him or anything. It was fine when he worked with Demi, sure, but then he tried getting us into their music. I never liked her, he might have but I didn’t so what was the need to tell us, and constantly remind us of how amazing she was? Continuing, if anyone actually read past William admitting he has a daughter on the AP you must have also seen where he decided The Academy Is.. was going to co-write their next album, even though Butcher said its a bad idea. I know he’s the lead singer and its his decision but the band doesn’t even want to do it, its the only place some people even have an input in anymore. It just really bothered me. I will always love Santi and Almost Here. Lets not start on Fast Times because I know they always make dramatic changes, after all I was there for the Almost Here - Santi jump but I just can’t get into Fast Times. Im really let down at the moment by The Academy Is…, it isn’t much of a secret, but I wanted to share my opinion.

My TAI… secret is,
The fact of how much their fans piss me off.
Too many of them bitch and moan about things they are not even entitled to complain about. People are losing sight that these are real men, they are humans like me and you. Bill is going to have a bad day now and then, okay? Doesn’t make him an asshole it makes him real. They obviously haven’t sold out for the money because we don’t see them every where we walk. They haven’t changed either, Santi wasn’t anything like Almost Here, so it makes perfect since for Fast Times to be nothing like either one. During Santi they were going through a lot as a band so they got a darker album. They have a lighter album because maybe they are happier now, ever think about that? Or is it a sin for them to be happy and make music that reflects that. They are aloud to have girlfriends too by the way, we don’t own them.
I feel horrible for this band because some of their fans are treating them like shit. Your going to get back what your giving them, and they really do not owe you anything. Okay? They make music because they like it and they are talented. Just because we buy their CD and their merchandise does not mean they owe us anything. They don’t make you do it. Just because we come to a show doesn’t mean they have to stay after. Think about just how much they give up to come to your town and play a show. They are away from everything the love for long periods of time and yet we find it a sin for them to be to tired to face a crazy mob of kids after they play a set.
Sorry, not really, it’s the truth.

today i woke up from a dream that invovled bilvy hugging me and at the same time dragging me down a long road.

sure, it was weird. but it was pure bliss.

he wasnt as tall in my dream though. which for some reason made him less hot in my opinion…huh…
